Job summary

Butler Ross in Huntingdon is seeking a Buyer to join a leading design and manufacturer of electronic equipment and instruments. This fully onsite role sits in an established purchasing team to source electronic components according to production requirements, with a global supplier base.

You will manage RFQs, place orders via franchised distributors to meet lead times, and explore alternate sources. The role also involves NPIs, reporting progress, and supporting the Quality Manager with supplier

Qualifications

• Experience purchasing electronic components.

• Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with sourcing and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Source components based on forecast and average usage data.

• Obtain acknowledgements and file appropriately.
• Report progress regularly.
• Engage with New Projects and attend NPI meetings.
• Deputise for the Purchasing Manager when required.
• Support Quality Manager in resolving supplier quality issues.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading design and manufacturer of electronic equipment and instruments as a Buyer. Based in Huntingdon this is a fully onsite position.

This key position sits within an established purchasing team and is to support the sourcing and supply of electronic components as per production requirements.

The successful candidate must have experience purchasing electronic components with the supply chain globally based.

Key responsibilities of the Buyer
