Procurement Head's Consumer team are seeking experienced Buyers and Senior Buyers to join a renowned organisation that is one of the leaders in their retail field.

This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious and passionate Buyers / Senior Buyers to join an agile and growing organisation which supports and progresses high performers.

Based in Reigate (Surrey) office, Mon-Thursday with Friday WFH.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with the ability to source new suppliers, negotiate terms and navigate their way through any supply chain challenges.

This organisation is in the food and beverage sector, supplying a range of goods to well-known retailers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement: Source and purchase product from manufacturers. Working with established supply base but also seek to identify, review and onboard new suppliers where needed.
2. Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and supply.
3. Supply issues: Be able to anticipate and provide solutions for supply issues.
4. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and prices to make informed purchasing decisions.
5. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
6. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
7. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, market trends, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement.
2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of strategic procurement, including market trends, sourcing and pricing.
3. Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
4. Ethical Commitment: Passion for ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
5. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
