Job summary

Evri is seeking a Senior Buyer to enhance our procurement process, drive value, and support sustainable practices. The role involves managing supplier agreements, developing cost-effective strategies, and ensuring high-quality execution across various procurement initiatives. You will join a dynamic team at an exciting time for growth and innovation within the company.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain, Business, STEM or equivalent practical experience. CIPS Level 2/3 (or working towards) is advantageous.
  • 2–3 years' experience as a Buyer or in a similar commercial role.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial value through procurement.
  • Knowledge of procurement levers, cost management, and budgetary influence.
  • Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Strong initiative, resilience, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the 5-step Evri category management process for designated spend areas.
  • Develop strategies that deliver Total Cost of Ownership improvements, cash flow benefits, and ESG enhancements.
  • Become the subject matter expert for your categories, building deep knowledge of the market, commercial models, and supplier dynamics.
  • Own critical financial and commercial analysis, including cost baselines, bid evaluation, and savings modelling.
  • Design and execute negotiation strategies with suppliers.
  • Lead on contract negotiation and manage supplier agreements by working with legal and senior procurement stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage EVRi’s standard commercial terms.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance across your categories.
  • Act as the point of escalation for contract issues, cost variations, or performance concerns.
  • Partner with Finance to manage in-contract costs and support continuous performance improvement.
  • Independently manage your procurement initiatives and improvement projects.
