Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Buyer for a major infrastructure contractor in the North West. The role involves procuring subcontract packages and materials across large civil projects, managing supplier relationships and supporting project delivery on a mix of site and office activity.

Hybrid working (typically 3-4 days site/office and 1-2 days from home) with a car or car allowance and an excellent benefits package. Ideal for current Buyers ready to step up.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Buyer or Senior Buyer position within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong subcontract procurement experience.
• Materials buying experience.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.

We're working with a leading infrastructure contractor delivering key projects across the North West and are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Buyer, or an ambitious Buyer ready to take the next step in their career.

This role offers a mix of site, office and hybrid working, supporting major civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing
