About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Buyer to join our Purchasing team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will manage all purchasing activities, including:

1. Running daily MRP reports and raising purchase orders.
2. Managing shortages and supply risks.
3. Overseeing delivery schedules and order books for production and projects.
4. Forecasting demand and managing supplier performance.
5. Negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements.
6. Ensuring supplier adherence to SLA conditions.
7. Resolving quality issues with suppliers and QA teams.
8. Coordinating with engineering on new product introductions.
9. Appraising new suppliers through QA/ISO evaluations.
10. Maintaining procurement data integrity and supporting Kanban strategies.
11. Performing cost analysis and volume planning.
12. Achieving KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory targets, and compliance.
13. Managing key suppliers and supporting strategic sourcing.

Education and Experience

• Experience in Purchasing/Logistics within an MRP & Kanban environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Oracle & Cumulus experience is advantageous.
• Degree qualification; CIPS/BPICS qualification is a plus.
• Knowledge of domestic or global commodities.
• Solution-oriented with strong administrative skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills across diverse teams.
