Job description

Our client based near Duxford is looking for a Senior Buyer with ideally a strong record in purchasing products within the market in Asia.

We also need someone with solid experience running an ERP/MRP system.

This role will be instrumental in managing the firm's purchasing processes, supplier relationships, and ensuring stock availability across a wide range of products. A critical part of the role is managing and developing the Sage/Sicon MRP system to drive supply chain efficiency, accurate forecasting, and stock control.

It's a busy hands-on role and will also hold line management duties. This position carries key responsibility as it will lead and manage the company's purchasing activities across the business.

To be suitable you will need:

1. Experience in a senior buyer or purchasing manager role
2. Extensive experience running and managing an MRP system - Sage/Sicon MRP would be ideal
3. Proven background in international purchasing, including sourcing from Asia
4. Ideally experience within hardware, manufacturing, or construction products

Due to the location of this role, you will need your own means of transport.
