An established industry player is seeking a Senior Buyer to enhance its procurement function within a global manufacturing environment. This office-based role in Basildon involves managing a portfolio of materials, influencing internal stakeholders, and negotiating with international suppliers. Experience in procurement and sourcing from the Far East and Europe.
CIPS qualification preferred for procurement expertise.

Are you looking for a step into a Senior Buyer role for a large international manufacturing business? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Our client is a global manufacturing business looking to expand their procurement function to support continued growth. The team is medium in size, and it is likely you will have line management responsibilities leading a team of buyers and coordinators.

Please note that this is an office-based role in Basildon, Essex.

Responsibilities:

Manage the procurement of a portfolio of materials and goods
Influence key internal stakeholder relationships to drive delivery of group purchasing objectives
Deliver KPI’s relating to cost, cash, quality and service delivery
Negotiate with a variety of international suppliers
Manage and develop various team members
Continuously analyse data to act upon market intelligence
Minimise risk to continuity of supply

Requirements:

Preference is for someone to be CIPS Qualified
Manufacturing sector experience is a must as is a background in sourcing from both the Far East and Europe
