Description

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting and optimising the organisation's key systems applications, predominately Asta's GRC tool Decision Focus. This senior-level position requires a highly experienced professional with deep expertise in business systems analysis, a proven ability to support and enhance critical applications, and a track record of delivering value through effective collaboration and technical leadership.

Key Tasks

  1. Systems Support and Optimisation: Provide advanced support for Decision Focus, ensuring system performance, reliability, and alignment with business requirements. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external vendor. Regularly review and optimise and improve functionality, efficiency, and end user experience.
  2. Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document detailed business and technical requirements. Translate business needs into enhancements and process improvements.
  3. Decision Focus Management: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Decision Focus, ensuring effective operation and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Asta departments to support adoption and ongoing improvements.
  4. Project Collaboration and Delivery: Partner with Decision Focus project teams to deliver module-related deployments, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Contribute to system design, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities. Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can utilise systems effectively.
  6. Risk and Compliance: Ensure that applications comply with organisational policies, industry regulations, and security standards. Maintain documentation for all supported systems, including processes, configurations, and user guides.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Key personal skills required

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Decision Focus and GRC Applications Expertise: Essential to have experience with the Decision Focus.
  • Professionalism and Stakeholder Management: A confident and professional approach, with proven experience engaging and collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders and departments within Asta and its managed syndicates.
  • Team Collaboration and Efficiency: A proactive team player with a strong commitment to achieving team objectives. Demonstrates high energy, excellent organisational and planning skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects efficiently.
  • JIRA and Agile Deployment Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of using JIRA for project management and experience implementing Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban to deliver projects effectively.

Key technical skills, knowledge and professional qualifications required

  • Educated to Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Extensive experience (5+ years) in business systems analysis and application support, particularly with Decision Focus.
  • Strong understanding of Decision Focus.
  • Experience with system implementation, upgrades, and customisation.
  • Ability to analyse complex systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on aligning technical solutions to business objectives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across Asta departments and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results within deadlines. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and process management.
