A local government organization in Reigate is seeking a Senior Business Support Assistant to join their Public Health Contract and Business Support team. This role offers a starting salary of £29,697 per annum and supports hybrid working. The successful candidate will coordinate administrative support to senior staff, helping to improve health and wellbeing initiatives. Applicants must already work for the organization.

This role has a starting salary of £29,697 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week (part time applications will also be considered).

We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Business Support Assistant to join our fantastic Public Health Contract and Business Support team based at Woodhatch in Reigate. This role is open to hybrid working and as a team we split our time between working from home and collaborating together in the office two days per week.

About the Role
The Public Health Team within the Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships department in Surrey is forward-looking, with ambitions to support significant improvements in the health and wellbeing of our county's population, and reduce health inequality.
The Public Health Contract and Business Support team works to support a wide variety of roles and functions across Public Health, from Commissioning to Health Protection. This involves working with leads across the Public Health team and engaging with a range of people and organisations locally to help in the monitoring of contracts, alongside liaising on the provision of support to enable strategy development and implementation.
Reporting to the Business and Contract Support Manager, you will coordinate support to senior staff ensuring confidentiality, a high standard of office organisation and good time management.

Local Government Reorganisation
Surrey County Council is preparing for Local Government Reorganisation which will allow us to implement the Government led policy of devolution, which is all about giving more powers to local areas.
Currently, Surrey has a two-tier council system, with 11 district and borough councils and a county council, all responsible for different services. All these councils will be reorganised into a smaller number of new unitary councils which will come into effect in April 2027. At this point, this role will be transferred, with all existing terms and conditions intact into one of the new unitary councils.
