Salary: Senior Business Model Consultant £50-58k per annum + Benefits; Consultant role £40-48k + Benefits
Status: Permanent / Full-time preferred (part-time/flexible requests welcome)
Transitioning to a low-carbon energy system to meet the 2050 net zero target is a complex challenge. The Energy Systems Catapult supports businesses, from startups to SMEs, in accelerating their offerings into the energy marketplace. As a Senior Consultant or Consultant, you will be central in helping innovators design new business models using energy, engineering, and commercial expertise.
You will be involved in collaborative projects with external stakeholders and internal teams, providing technical and commercial expertise in energy sector analysis, market development, and funding opportunities.
Your focus will be on assessing the viability of emerging energy business models, understanding future revenue and cost structures, and identifying new value streams for scale-up.
Ideal Candidate: Your background may be in sustainable finance, energy policy, energy product/service creation, or energy markets. You should be eager to apply your knowledge in a consultative role to help businesses innovate commercially.
Strong skills in financial modelling, quantitative research, energy asset analysis, report writing, and presentation are desired. Evidence of positive project outcomes is also important.
