Location: Worcester (Hybrid, 50/50 split)

About the Department:
The Business Intelligence team is responsible for managing the entire reporting and analytics lifecycle—from requirements gathering and data extraction to visualisation, testing, and delivery. The team supports finance, treasury, risk, and strategic planning, and manages enterprise BI tools and platforms. The team leverages analytics to support informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead analytics and business intelligence initiatives across departments, fostering a data-driven culture.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for data platforms and reporting tools, guiding stakeholders.
- Maintain and optimise reporting outputs, identifying improvements and automation opportunities.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to meet business needs.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation in large databases.
- Support transformation and change projects by providing insights and reporting capabilities to enhance data integrity and performance.
- Lead advanced analytics and AI-driven projects aligned with business strategy.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends and strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, ensuring data accuracy and clarity.
- Advise on developing KPIs to support business goals.

- IT, Change, and Transformation teams

- Technology vendors and partners
- Data providers, including credit and financial information sources
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in a quantitative, scientific, or finance-related field.
- Extensive experience in BI, analytics, or MI roles.
- Strong SQL skills for querying large databases and scalable coding.
- Expertise in Tableau for creating dashboards and reports.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modelling.
- Ability to apply analytics to impact business decisions.
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and Jira.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience evaluating external data sources.
