An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-starting and enthusiastic individual to join our innovative and fast paced business intelligence team.
We are looking to appoint a pro-active and dynamic individual with the confidence to engage with others across all levels of the organisation and wider health economy.
Main duties of the job
To support the organisation with analysis and reporting on a wide range of topics and service areas, and to contribute to improving quality in respect of patient activity data that is captured by community services.
To use SQL and other Microsoft tools, to extract data from source systems to produce analytic reports, visualisations and outline findings on a range of topics.
The post-holder will provide high quality, timely and accurate information to enable Medway Community Healthcare to provide effective patient services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for:
• Co-ordinating the day-to-day work of the business intelligence team to ensure it meets its deadlines and delivers high quality business support to its customers.
• Providing the Business Intelligence Analyst with support and guidance to develop their technical SQL skills.
• Provide advice on data reporting for mobilisation of new services and support the development of current and future reporting requirements.
• Developing a culture that improves quality in respect of patient activity data.
• Support and assist in yearly contract refresh for activity and capacity planning.
• To develop national minimum data set reporting and provide assurance against timescales for delivery and reporting requirements.
• To produce accurate and timely performance data by:
o Ensuring collation of patient activity data from a variety of systems for internal management and for contract performance meetings
o Monitoring the processing of data and information
o Assurance on data quality addressing issues with services where required
• Advise and support service leads to help improve the accuracy and consistency of their activity recording and reporting to minimise data and information gaps.
• Develop and implement effective models of interrogating and presenting monthly and quarterly performance data across multiple services, highlighting areas for change /investigation.
• Build good working relationships with various stakeholders (internal and external).
• Ensure the Business Intelligence team can produce, interrogate and report on the portfolio of performance data via Power BI.
