Senior Business Development Manager / telecommunications /telcomms / broadband

My client is seeking a results-driven business development leader to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the education broadband sector. You will lead and mentor a team of up to 12 sales and support staff, balancing commercial objectives with the company's mission to serve schools across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver strategic sales plans aligned with company goals.
  • Drive new business opportunities and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Monitor performance, manage budgets, and report on KPIs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, DfE requirements, and competitor activity.
About You
  • Significant experience in senior business development/sales leadership, ideally in telecoms, broadband, or education/public sector.
  • Proven record of exceeding revenue targets and managing successful teams.
