We’re recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager to join BMS Performance in London.

Sat within our Sales Recruitment division, the Senior Business Development Manager will be tasked with forging new recruitment partnerships with companies that meet a clearly defined ideal customer profile. These prospective companies will reside within several specific market segments which have been well researched & identified as growth sectors for BMS Performance. The role of the Senior Business Development Manager is to fundamentally own & grow BMS’s market share within these market sectors. Using an incredible suite of technology along with your own expertise, you’ll execute a targeted BD strategy with a focus on quality to engage a range of stakeholders such as Sales Managers, Sales Directors, HR, C-Suite and Founders. The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for the full sales cycle followed by retaining and growing relationships to ensure repeat business. You can expect to focus heavily on new business development in the first 12 months as you build your portfolio of accounts; in year 2 and beyond there can be an even split between new business and client development.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced and rewarding role that also offers a huge amount of scope for personal and professional development for the right individual.

We are looking for the following skills, attributes, and experience:

  • 3 years B2B sales experience where you will have managed the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing business
  • Must have experience of growing existing accounts through both service level and identification of additional decision makers
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling techniques – ideally SPIN or GAP sales methodologies
  • Naturally curious with the ability to think critically
  • Able to set a plan to achieve a goal, be strategically minded, analytical and show decision making capability
  • High level of coachability & a natural interest in consistent self-improvement
