Job Description:

We are absolutely thrilled to be supporting a national apprenticeship training provider who focuses on developing tech and digital skills to recruit a Senior Business Development Executive within their Business Development team.

Being a part of one of the UK’s leading apprenticeship training providers, you’ll play a pivotal role in promoting their apprenticeship training programmes and educating organisations on the endless benefits of growing their business through apprentices, as well as upskilling their existing workforce through training opportunities.

The client provides a range of market-leading apprenticeship programmes to support businesses in further digitising their organisation and driving growth, efficiency, and productivity. This is an exciting opportunity to expand and secure the company's position as the go-to provider for digital apprenticeships and training.

As a Senior Business Development Executive, your primary objective will be to drive sales growth and expand our client base within a designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop new businesses in the apprenticeship market, influencing a broad spectrum of industries.
  2. Utilise the sales tech stack, including Seven20, Revenue Grid, and Aircall to follow up, nurture, and close open opportunities.
  3. Utilise social selling tactics on platforms such as LinkedIn to build a personal brand and establish yourself as a thought leader in the industry.
  4. Use qualifying information from the Sales Development team to produce highly tailored, relevant, and personalised pitch decks and proposals to present to prospects.
  5. Use consultative sales methodology throughout your sales approach to effectively build robust relationships and generate high-quality opportunities.
  6. Maintain accurate activity and pipeline records using CRM software to ensure efficient tracking and reporting of sales progress.
  7. Have in-depth, expert knowledge of the company's apprenticeship programmes and the value they can provide businesses.
  8. Proactively contribute to your own sales pipeline by seeking new business opportunities in the market, using LinkedIn, CRM, sales enablement tools, and sales intelligence to improve processes.
  9. Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  10. The ability to adapt and develop apprenticeship solutions to client’s needs with clear and decisive communication.
  11. Be able to clearly and easily articulate the company value proposition; their strengths and the quality of their delivery.
  12. Able to set goals, plan and manage projects as well as anticipate potential roadblocks or risks, to achieve targets and maintain a full pipeline.
  13. Experience in handling complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders in diverse industries.
  14. Results-oriented, tenacious, and resilient in your approach to revenue generation.
  15. Organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  16. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all organisational levels.
  17. A strong commercial mindset with a customer-centric approach to sales.

Key Objectives:

  1. Achieve monthly sales targets with demonstrable key performance indicators (KPIs).
  2. Represent the company and the value of apprenticeships using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how their programmes help businesses meet their growth, professional development, and recruitment objectives.
  3. Capable of approving qualified apprenticeship vacancies without regular support or quality checks, maintaining low withdrawal rates and high learner retention rates.
  4. Maintain a high level of quality by establishing and enforcing company standards, following processes, and meeting company expectations.
  5. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in internal training, reviewing professional publications and other content, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking best practices.
  6. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  7. Embrace the company ethos, acting as an advocate for the company mission.
  8. Display a positive and respectful attitude, work with honesty and integrity, and conduct yourself professionally.
  9. Present yourself appropriately for the work environment, maintaining a professional image of the company.
  10. Take accountability for your work and act as a mentor for other team members.
  11. Set an example within the team, demonstrating a consistently high level of dependability and trust.
  12. Take initiative on starting new projects and coming up with new ideas that can benefit the company.
  13. Activity contributes to the entire department’s sales strategy to ensure they're constantly improving and evolving.

The organisation is passionate about you, your well-being, your performance, your development, and your overall experience.

Here are some benefits that you can look forward to:
