About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Partnerships team in the Midlands and East Region.

As the Senior Business Development Coordinator, you will lead on the coordination and delivery of our business development work, with particular focus on bid writing, client-facing product information, and performance analytics.

You will provide essential support to our network development teams, design and engineering team, and our behavior change and engagement team, helping them identify and assess funding opportunities, and write funding proposals, competitive tenders, case studies, and reports.

You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders such as our existing Midlands and East Senior Business Development Coordinator and our Commercial and Business Services team.

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub.

This role may involve infrequent travel, including overnight stays.

About you

You should have experience managing business development processes, including securing funding through competitive processes like bid writing and tendering.

You should be able to develop working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

You need to communicate authoritatively and persuasively about the benefits of active travel and the Sustrans approach.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, are essential.

You should be confident in analyzing data to identify trends and make recommendations.
