Mills & Reeve, a leading UK law firm, is recruiting a Senior Business Development Advisor on a 12‑month fixed term contract to join the national team. The role focuses on shaping and delivering strategic BD plans, identifying opportunities and advising on growth initiatives.

You will work with partners and senior stakeholders to influence growth, develop campaigns and leverage AI-powered tools to drive results, with a 50/50 hybrid split between office and home working.

Mills & Reeve are hiring a Senior Business Development Advisor to join the national team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The role

Are you a commercially-minded business development professional looking to make a real impact? Join Mills & Reeve as a Senior Business Development Advisor and play a leading role in driving growth across one of our key sectors, service lines or offices.

You’ll work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to shape and deliver strategic business development plans, identify new opportunities, support key client growth initiatives and provide trusted commercial advice. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence business growth while working with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract, offering hybrid working. This will see the successful applicant working a minimum of a 50/50 split between office and home working, over a two week period, subject to business and team requirements.

The person

You’ll be an experienced business development professional with a proven background within legal or professional services. You’ll have strong commercial awareness, outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, strategic and relationship-focused, with experience of developing growth opportunities and using modern marketing tools, including AI, to achieve business outcomes. A marketing qualification is advantageous but not essential.
