Job summary

Lab49, Inc. in London/Greater London area is seeking an experienced consultant to join a large institutional multi-year business transformation and integration project in cross-border payments.

You will work in a hybrid team, engaging with client stakeholders to gather requirements, validate outputs, and facilitate workshops while delivering detailed specs, architectures, roadmaps, and process improvements across complex financial flows.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced consultant to work on a large institutional multi-year business transformation and integration project in cross border payments.

What will you do?

Business analysis

• Develop business requirements and backlogs
• Develop detailed business specifications, including worked numerical examples
• Develop functional architectures and solutions designs
• Develop delivery roadmaps, identify dependencies, risks and issues
• Perform business process reengineering

Consulting

• Work as part of a team in hybrid manner
• Engage with client stakeholders to ascertain requirements, and validate Lab49 output
• Facilitate workshops between Lab and client to resolve issues, risks and discover requirements

What do you need to know?

Skills & Knowledge

• Working knowledge of financial markets, some experience of payments
• Working knowledge of typical financial flows and architecture
• Understanding of business process modelling
• Ability to gather and document business requirements
• Understanding of agile methodologies including the creation of epics / user stories and the effective management of backlogs
• Excellent communication skills; able to represent the team, project and firm in all manner of client situations
• Willingness and ability to get “hands‑on” as needed; developing detailed specification and numerical examples

Experience

• Experience with business analysis projects both as an individual and as part of a team
• Experience with business analysis in the financial markets environment
• Experience working with IT teams to deliver products / solutions
• Experience with projects from inception through to delivery
• Experience working in an agile environment
