Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Analyst to join our Tech Delivery function. This role goes beyond traditional analysis — we’re looking for a confident leader, compelling storyteller, and highly influential collaborator who can work across business and technology teams to drive transformation and efficiency.

A key focus of this role is to shape and execute strategies that improve the speed and quality of project analysis—particularly around reducing lead time during discovery and initiation. You’ll work across complex, cross-functional initiatives including those that leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 Warehouse Management System (D365 WMS), helping to optimise supply chain and logistics operations while building capability across the team.

You'll be based on site at our Crewe office with occasional travel to our Bolton HQ.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

Shaping Strategy
You’ll lead the charge on smarter, faster analysis—cutting down discovery lead times and helping us deliver value quicker. You’ll work closely with teams across Tech and Ops to make sure our projects hit the mark, especially in warehousing and logistics.

D365 WMS Expertise
You’ll bring your know-how of Microsoft Dynamics 365 WMS to the table—guiding enhancements, integrations, and process improvements. You’ll turn complex warehouse needs into clear, scalable solutions that work in the real world.

Telling the Story
You’ll turn insight into action—using data and storytelling to influence decisions and get everyone pulling in the same direction. You’re confident leading conversations and keeping cross-functional teams aligned.

Building Capability
You’ll coach and support other BAs, helping them grow and raising the bar across the team. You’ll champion a culture of learning, sharing, and analytical excellence.

Delivering Value
You’ll lead analysis on high-impact projects, ensuring we’re focused on outcomes that matter. Whether it’s Agile, Waterfall, or something in between—you’ll flex your approach to suit the job.

Driving Innovation
You’ll keep us ahead of the curve—exploring AI, automation, and low-code tools to boost how we work. You’ll spot opportunities to improve and make them happen.

Engaging Stakeholders
You’ll build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and partners—making sure everyone’s aligned and delivery stays on track.

A Few Things About You
  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in a digital or technology-led delivery function.
  • Strong experience working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 WMS implementations, upgrades, or continuous improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in warehouse management, supply chain, or logistics operations, with the ability to map business processes and recommend improvements.
  • Strategic thinking and experience driving operational improvement and delivery efficiency.
  • Exceptional influencing, storytelling, and communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring analysts, building capability, and fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
  • Forward-looking, with a passion for technology innovation, including the practical application of AI and automation tools in the delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with vendors in complex project environments.
  • Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer-led digital businesses.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Exposure to business process modelling tools and data analysis platforms.
  • Formal coaching or leadership training/qualifications.
