Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development

FirstBank UK is a globally recognized, top-tier bank providing world-class services to institutions and individuals. We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support our business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Manage existing African FI relationships and enhance profitability in line with the Bank’s risk appetite and strategic targets.
  • Assist in origination and onboarding of new clients, supporting revenue growth.
  • Prepare and deliver credit applications for review by Credit Risk, demonstrating strong financial analysis skills.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC and KYB requirements, including full reviews and onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate with the Business Risk Review team to complete client reviews and memos on time.
  • Monitor financial statement review deadlines and facilitate necessary approvals.
  • Assist in limit extension requests and system limit adjustments post-approval.
  • Distribute weekly financial limits reports and handle client queries efficiently.
  • Support prospecting, due diligence, and portfolio management activities.
Experience / Knowledge:
  • Experience with Financial Institutions, UK regulatory environment, and credit analysis.
  • Understanding of KYC/KYB processes for FI clients and international trade finance.
  • Experience in the African market is highly advantageous.
  • French language skills are desirable.
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis, Moody’s Risk Rating tools, and research skills.
