Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support our business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in executing IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Manage existing African FI relationships and improve profitability in line with the Bank’s risk appetite and strategic goals.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Support Relationship Managers in achieving departmental budgets.
• Drive business origination by marketing new relationships and on-boarding clients.
• Prepare credit applications for review, with strong analytical skills and understanding of financial statement analysis.
• Ensure compliance with KYC and KYB requirements, including full reviews and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate with the Business Risk Review team to meet timelines and ensure quality.
• Monitor annual financial statement reviews and manage limit extensions.
• Handle customer queries efficiently and support portfolio management.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Experience with Financial Institutions, UK regulatory knowledge, credit analysis, KYC & KYB requirements.
• Understanding of International Trade Finance.
• Experience in the African market is advantageous.
• French language skills are desirable.
