SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - GENERAL INSURANCE - Business Change Introduction: Wipro is looking for a Business Analyst – General Insurance – Business Change with previous experience of working in General / Commercial Insurance space. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation. The role will have a primary focus on working as an SME in shaping and scoping of business case creation for 2024/2025 change activities for multi-year planning.

Purpose of the Role: As Business Analyst – General Insurance – Business Change, you will support our client as an SME in shaping and scoping of business case creation for 2024/2025 change activities for multi-year planning.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Shaping and scoping of a project / producing business cases to help our client a market leader in global corporate & speciality insurance, implement new underwriting workbench ecosystem to empower growth.
2. Work on automation underwriting journeys.
3. Work on new policy platform to deliver complex needs of speciality insurance including multinational, international and London Market.
4. Gathering requirements and scope capture.
5. Understanding and mapping of the insurance processes, ways of working, value chain.
6. Collection of data about an organisation’s operations to improve its systems and processes.
7. Process mapping as agreed with the client.
8. Identifying problems and opportunities for change with the current business model.
9. Options development and recommendations to company management.
10. Analysing the potential impact on the business of recommendations and creating business cases.
11. Planning, developing and provision of impact analysis to technology systems, infrastructure, applications, accelerators in line with customer needs.
12. Providing support and enablement services to the business to help them develop business requirements and design.
13. Acting as a customer proxy for the development team during the development cycle of specific products.
14. Analysing new change needs, change requests, new requirements from third parties and customers/clients.
15. Translating requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
16. Developing BRDs and other business requirements documentation.
17. Design and detail of user stories.
18. Use development specifications to establish traceability from requirements to test cases.
19. Designing potential solutions to problems and opportunities.
20. Preparing and delivering report of findings to senior stakeholders and leadership.
21. Managing risks and issues with end-to-end impact assessment.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

1. Previous experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial Insurance or General Insurance.
2. Experienced in creating business cases across multiple projects.
3. Ability to manage complex projects e.g. budgets, team sizes, number of technologies/platform teams involved.
4. Understanding of insurance processes, ways of working, value chain.
5. Excellent written and oral communication.
6. Facilitation skills and able to plan and conduct workshops.
7. Good senior stakeholder management skills.
8. Self-starter, proactive, independently work and be responsible.
9. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Kanban, Jira and confluence.
10. Ability to work in a team but also work independently when required.
11. Excellent presentation skills/visual representations.
