Job Description

Turner & Townsend's Digital and Consultancy business unit seeks a candidate to join their team, focusing on (but not limited to) the Defence sector. Candidates MUST hold high-level UK government security clearance.

The team offers a wide range of commissions across the UK, and candidates should be prepared to travel to support project delivery. As a global business, we deliver projects worldwide, so flexibility is advantageous.

Consultants will work within our Digital consulting team and may also collaborate with wider Turner & Townsend project teams. Interaction with clients and stakeholders is essential, and support will be provided for projects of various sizes and complexities, including working with external consultants when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide business analysis expertise, especially within the Defence sector, and support the development of our business analysis services and commercial opportunities.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, adapting to and embedding into different client environments.
• Lead workshops, process modeling, and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Scope and implement best practice Business Analysis methodologies to deliver client value.
• Document current state processes, systems, and user journeys, and identify future state solutions.
• Capture, prioritize, and manage requirements and backlogs.
• Support data capture, validation, and analysis, including producing reports and supporting decision-making.
• Test systems and models against requirements and perform assurance checks.
• Prepare project communications and reports, liaise with clients, contractors, and designers.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Previous consultancy experience within the National Security sector with appropriate security clearances.
• Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA, or extensive relevant experience.
• Experience with system access control, data security, and requirements capture.
• Knowledge of data lineage, validation, and insights for decision-making.
• Proficiency with cloud-based data management and analysis solutions.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Understanding of technical solutions like Power BI, SQL, Power Platform, SharePoint, and cloud services, with the ability to communicate technical requirements effectively.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a willingness to learn languages like VBA and SQL.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Data modeling, data quality, and data architecture expertise.
• Knowledge of project management software such as Primavera P6, Contruent, SAP, or Prism.
• Degree in an analytic subject is preferred but not required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support the growth of the Digital Business Analysis service through presentations and client materials.
• Maintain key information in internal databases (training provided).
• Mentor and support junior Business Analysts, with potential coaching and line management opportunities.
