Senior Business Analyst - Collateral Management

The Business Analyst will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects related to collateral management and change initiatives within the financial services industry. This role involves analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless implementation of change and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document end-to-end collateral management processes.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to optimize collateral efficiency, minimize risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., EMIR, Basel III).
  • Collaborate with front, middle, and back-office teams to manage collateral workflows, margin calls, and dispute resolutions.

Change Management:

  • Lead the change management process by defining business requirements, performing gap analysis, and delivering strategic solutions.
  • Support transformation initiatives, system migrations, and process reengineering in line with industry trends and regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements and facilitate solution design.
  • Prepare and present detailed business cases, impact assessments, and progress reports to senior management and project sponsors.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Create comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, user stories, and test plans.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), risks, and milestones to ensure alignment with project goals.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring the solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective measures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, specifically in collateral management and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of collateral management processes, tools, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank).
  • Proven track record of managing business transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with financial products such as derivatives, securities, and repos.
  • Experience with industry-standard collateral management systems (e.g., AcadiaSoft, Calypso, Murex).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, Prince2, Agile, or ITIL).
