Senior Business Analyst (CI)

Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis

Location: Flexible (office presence will be required in our Whiteley office approximately 2 days per week with occasional travel to London)

The opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the CI Business Partnering team in Finance as a Senior Business Analyst. The role is to support the CI business by delivering financial analysis to aid decision making and setting future strategy whilst working as part of a line of business leadership team in a fast paced and dynamic environment. It will cover all aspects of partnering from supporting the monthly close, working with the business to produce robust forecasts and plans and delivering financial updates and key messages to the business. What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the monthly finance close ensuring the accurate submission of monthly revenue related numbers.
  • Assist in production of commentaries for monthly performance packs and relevant Commercial and line of business level reporting.
  • Active member of the CI LOB leadership teams with monthly playback of results to stakeholders acting as the finance contact point for any queries relating to financial information or trends.
  • Co-ordination of the annual planning cycle for the individual lines of business and overall CI MFU
  • Perform financial analysis to highlight potential areas of concern and areas of opportunity
  • Support specific CI projects where necessary in MFU’s area of responsibility.
  • Provide Guidance and mentoring support for team members
  • Assist in resolution of queries for specific items within the profit and loss account.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Experience in an accounting role within an Insurance or Financial Services organisation would be desirable
  • Hunger and enthusiasm to learn and proactively develop
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
  • Good level of numeric ability to understand, evaluate and interpret data
