We are working with a global IT Consultancy who partner with organisation to deliver innovative projects across various sectors. We are seeking a highly accomplished Business Analyst with strong project management skills and a background in Front Office (Banking).

You will have excellent influencing skills to oversee a large transformation project in Repo.

The candidate should be hands on but adept at senior stakeholder management and project status tracking / reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Fixed Income products (Bonds, Shortpapers etc) of knowledge of Repo products (ReverseRepo, Triparty, Bond Borrow, Bond Lend, Sell/Buyback etc) and the lifecycle events.
  • Bring prior experience and understanding of Murex Front Office to ensure effective integration and utilization within the business processes.
  • Engage with Front Office stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, provide regular updates, and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and present detailed status reports to senior management, highlighting project progress, risks, issues, and areas that require attention or intervention.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, ensuring they are mitigated or resolved in a timely manner.
  • Track and monitor testing progress, collaborate with testing teams, and ensure the successful completion of all testing phases, maintaining quality throughout the process.
  • Leverage your experience from large-scale projects involving the migration of repo asset classes to guide and ensure the success of similar projects.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst with some Project Management experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of Repo and SBL products and their life cycle events.
  • Proven experience in managing backlogs, status reporting, and risk & issue management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with Front Office stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Prior experience with Murex FO is a must have.
  • Experience with Apex is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in large projects migrating repo asset classes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Ideally have Business Analyst certification i.e. ECBA, CCBA or CBA
  • Ideally have Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile.
