Role overview

The Business Analysts within our team are key to the success of our project delivery methodology. They work with stakeholders at all levels across the business to uncover and document detailed requirements that form the basis of a successful project. They also ensure that any changes to requirements are captured along the way.

The team works alongside our Testers to ensure that requirements are fully covered and understood during test preparation and work with the Project Managers to help manage scope and change control. Also, capturing requirements at such a detailed level means that our BAs become experienced systems users and are therefore key to supporting testing activities and our in-house Training Team with the rollout of business change and post go-live support.

Our BAs need to be excellent communicators (both written and oral), persuasive, analytical, and tenacious. We’re looking for someone with experience working in a similar environment—used to working with stakeholders at all levels and comfortable leading workshops and delivering training.

The key responsibilities for the Senior Business Analyst role at Hill Dickinson are:

• Demonstrate extensive experience in Business Analysis across multiple departments and functions, preferably with knowledge of Hill Dickinson (Yellow Belt or above)
• Lead the Business Analysis team, driving change and improvements within the team
• Be the key point of contact for the team with other departments
• Ensure consistency of process and documentation within the Business Analysis team
• Support other Business Analysts on projects and in their roles
• Mentor less experienced members of the Business Analyst team
• Carry out Business Analyst roles on projects, including analysis, documentation, testing support, and training assistance

What we are looking for

• Knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma practices for continuous improvement and process mapping
• High-level understanding of data to identify opportunities and measure success
• Extensive experience in business analysis practices, including requirements gathering and process mapping
• Ability to lead complex projects as the sole or lead Business Analyst
• Leadership skills to improve project processes and develop team members
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
• Experience in stakeholder management in complex environments
• Ability to respond to user needs in a dynamic business setting
• Tact and diplomacy in stakeholder interactions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience with complex data migrations and upgrade projects involving integrated systems
• Knowledge of the legal sector and legal software or insurance sector processes and systems
