Compensation

Starting from £75,000 to £110,000 with Options & Benefits

Hybrid working: You’ll need to be able to work from our London office for three days a week, blended with remote working.

About Stream

Stream was founded with the mission to provide fair financial tools to the everyday worker. Offered through destination employers like Greene King, Bupa, Burger King, Asda and the NHS, our award-winning platform helps over three million people to earn, learn, save, spend and borrow on their own terms, all in one smartphone app.

Stream is unique: VC backed and growing at scale, but with a social conscience. Some of the world's leading impact funds were our founding investors, and we operate on a social charter, which means every product and service we create must measurably improve financial wellbeing.

You’d be joining a team of over 300 passionate, ambitious people across Europe and the USA, building a category-defining product, and united by that same mission.

The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a pivotal role in one of the fastest growing scale-ups in Europe, as we head for neobank status. As part of this role, you will be working with the leaders of our most important businesses to diagnose, understand and solve their most critical problems.

If you are motivated, highly analytical and love using data insights to drive real business strategy, this is a perfect opportunity to join a growing team early in the product lifetime.

What will you be doing?

Work with business leaders to identify their most important problems. Example: How can we improve front-line worker adoption in a specific sector?

Create bespoke analysis, dashboards and frameworks to help shape and define the solutions to these problems and shape the future business strategy.

Discover insights from data and formulate strategies to answer the big questions and address key business questions.

Work with data engineering to design and build data models for your domain.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement your strategies in the market effectively.

Build and implement RCTs to test and refine hypotheses. Example: In what order should customers be introduced to products?

Contribute to central Data initiatives (quality, lineage, forecasting, AI insights).

Monitor and assess the success of implemented strategies, and continuously identify further opportunities for enhancement.

What experience might you have? (But if you’re close… we'd still love to talk to you!)
  • Ability to understand and work with numbers effectively.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools like Excel and SQL (Python is welcome).
  • Inquisitive and truth-seeking attitude, with an inclination to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience working with business leaders and translating ambiguous needs into structured data solutions.
Can-be-learnts
  • Applied AI – work alongside the Data team on conversation insight, forecasting, and other AI/ML initiatives that directly impact customer outcomes.
  • Domain knowledge – from B2B sales to product management to consumer marketing, you’ll gain exposure to the inner workings of Ops in a fast-scaling fintech.
  • Fintech industry expertise – learn how data underpins compliance, client reporting, and product adoption in a sector shaping the future of financial wellbeing.
What success looks like:
  1. 1 month: Taken ownership of key dashboards, building familiarity with our business and strategic priorities. Delivered improvements to existing analysis to demonstrate quick impact. Established yourself as the go-to data partner for leaders, helping triage and prioritise requests into a structured backlog.
  2. 3 months: Improved business performance and understanding with your recommendations and frameworks. Partnered with leadership to define and document key KPIs, turning ambiguous needs into standardised, trusted metrics.
  3. 6 months: Fully embedded as part of the team, shaping the roadmap for business improvements and surfacing insights that influence strategy. Extended our capabilities and your influence across the business.
What we’ll do for you
  • 25 days' annual leave in addition to public holidays (up to 5 days' rollover), plus flexible time off for ad-hoc childcare, family or caring needs
  • 24 weeks' paid maternity leave and 4 weeks' paid paternity leave for employees with over 12 months' service
  • Special leave for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and other fertility treatments
  • Sabbatical scheme
  • Paid leave to volunteer
  • Private healthcare, including comprehensive mental and physical healthcare
  • Salary sacrifice to pension, plus bonus exchange to pension: get more from any bonus by paying it into your pension and saving on tax and NI, with added compound growth
  • Season ticket loan
