Job description

About The Role

We're on the lookout for a brilliant Senior Business Analyst to join our Tech Delivery team - someone who's not just great at analysis, but who brings energy, leadership, and a strategic mindset to the table.

This isn't your standard BA role. We need a natural storyteller who can turn complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives. Someone who's confident influencing across all levels of the business and passionate about making things better - faster.

You'll play a key role in shaping how we do business analysis at AO, helping us cut down lead times and kick off projects with real momentum. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, coaching and guiding analysts and delivery colleagues, and driving a smart, data-led approach to continuous improvement.

If you love solving problems, making a difference, and bringing people together to get things done - we'd love to hear from you.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

Setting the Strategy
Focusing on cutting lead times and making sure we hit the ground running on every project, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to keep our analysis approach aligned with delivery goals.

Telling the Story
You'll turn complex problems into clear, engaging stories that help people make smart decisions. You'll back up your recommendations with data and always keep the bigger picture in mind.

Coaching and Growing Talent
You'll support and mentor other analysts, helping them grow their skills and confidence. You'll also champion a culture of learning, sharing, and continuous improvement.

Driving Delivery
You'll lead the analysis on big, complex projects - making sure requirements are clear, valuable, and actionable. You'll work hand-in-hand with delivery teams to keep things moving smoothly from idea to implementation.

Bringing in Innovation
You'll explore how AI, automation, and data tools can make our analysis faster and smarter. You'll encourage the team to experiment with new tech and ways of working that unlock more value.

Building Relationships
You'll be a trusted partner across tech and the wider business - keeping stakeholders aligned, informed, and engaged every step of the way.
A Few Things About You

  • Solid experience as a Senior Business Analyst (or similar) in a fast-paced tech or digital environment
  • A strategic mindset with a knack for spotting and delivering improvements
  • Confident communicator and storyteller - able to bring insights to life for any audience
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills, with a passion for growing team capability
  • Comfortable working in vendor-led environments - keeping delivery focused, contracts clear, and outcomes aligned
  • Strong relationship builder - able to challenge, negotiate, and collaborate with third-party suppliers
  • Great understanding of Agile and Waterfall, and when to use each
  • A genuine interest in tech and innovation - especially tools like AI that can boost performance
  • Excellent at engaging stakeholders, running workshops, and keeping everyone aligned
  • Data-savvy - confident using insight to guide decisions and measure impact
A Bit About Us
