We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our AO Tech department, you’ll be a key driver of value, leading by example and helping shape the future of our BA community. You’ll work closely with our passionate in-house development teams and stakeholders across the business to understand complex requirements, deliver impactful solutions, and support the growth of both our products and our people.

You’ll also take on line management responsibilities, supporting and developing a small team of Business Analysts, helping them grow their skills and careers while maintaining a strong focus on delivery and collaboration.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and are excited by the opportunity to influence both product and people, this could be the perfect next step in your BA journey.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

As a Senior Business Analyst at AO, you're not just guiding a team—you’re inspiring them. You’ll mentor and coach a talented group of BAs, helping them grow their skills, build confidence, and deliver real impact. Your support and feedback will be key to their success.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with Product Owners and stakeholders, acting as a strategic partner to shape roadmaps that align with business goals and customer needs. Your influence will help steer the direction of products that make a difference.

You’ll also be a champion for best practice—bringing consistency, clarity, and quality to everything we do in business analysis, agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

Here’s what else you’ll be getting stuck into:

  • Facilitating discovery - running workshops, interviews, and other techniques to dig into business needs and validate requirements.
  • Turning insight into action - translating complex requirements into clear, actionable epics, features, and user stories that guide our development teams.
  • Bringing ideas to life - creating and maintaining supporting documentation like process flows, wireframes, and data models.
  • Collaborating across disciplines - working closely with UX, developers, testers, and others to make sure our solutions are both user-friendly and technically sound.
  • Owning the backlog - managing product backlogs with a clear focus on priorities, using data to drive decisions.

You’ll also play a big part in our BA community—sharing knowledge, leading internal workshops, mentoring others, and driving continuous improvement. And when it comes to cross-functional projects that span multiple teams or departments, you’ll be right there in the thick of it, helping to bring everything together.

A Few Things About You

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a tech or digital environment, ideally with exposure to agile and lean methodologies.
  • Experience in line management or mentoring, with a passion for helping others grow.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and communicate them clearly.
  • Confident in facilitating discussions, managing stakeholders, and influencing decisions at all levels.
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive mindset - you’re always looking for ways to improve processes, products, and people.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A desire to shape the future of the BA craft at AO and help define what BA mastery looks like.

A Bit About Us

When it comes to appliances and electricals, we’ve got the lot. Washing machines? Yep. TVs? Check. Laptops? Absolutely. Everything except doorbells (just kidding, we’ve got those too).

We’re known for helping our customers brilliantly - and it’s no different for AOers. We care about more than what’s on your CV, because together we can do extraordinary things.
