Job description

As a Business Analyst, you will be part of a team working to deliver value for our customers. For example, you may be involved in transformation projects, collaborating with business stakeholders to define their vision and requirements, and working with technical teams to develop and deliver solutions. You may also work on projects aimed at streamlining and improving processes.

With more experience, you will drive work streams and help lead teams across complex transformation projects. You may serve as a product owner to help deliver digital products, working closely with both business and technical colleagues. The primary responsibility of the BA is to gather, analyze, document, and validate the needs of business stakeholders.

Key requirements include:

• Experience with Agile methodologies, including writing user stories, managing Scrum calls, and prioritizing backlogs.
• Serving as the main conduit for managing system requirements between business and software development teams throughout a project.
• Eliciting business requirements from users and subject matter experts.
• Capturing and documenting clear business requirements in BDD format.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Ability to take strategic direction from executive management and demonstrate initiative.
• Capability to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance.
• Technical skills including Open API (Swagger or other) or microservice architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to articulate functional or technical assignments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Team player capable of working well with technical and non-technical resources.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a business analyst role.
• Experience owning features across the entire lifecycle, from shaping to live service.
• Extensive experience in writing user stories.
• Experience with both functional and non-functional elements of delivery.
• Proven experience using Azure DevOps.
• Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders on the Scrum team.
• Ability to influence roadmap decisions with management.
• Knowledge of the subsurface domain (subsurface & wells), data, and business requirements.
