Job summary

SYSTRA Consultancy is hiring a Senior Consultant to join the Passenger Transport team. The role focuses on delivering bus operations, network planning and ticketing/information projects across the UK, with direct client liaison and the opportunity to grow business for SYSTRA.

You will work in a hybrid model from any of our offices (London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds), leading projects, developing client relationships and contributing to strategic studies and business cases for

Qualifications

• Degree in Transport Planning or related subject (or equivalent experience).
• Significant bus operations experience including network planning and other commercial skills.
• Experience delivering ticketing and/or information projects.
• Direct work for clients including on-site secondments.
• Good report and proposal writing skills.
• Established relationships with clients in public & private sectors.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the technical delivery of bus operations, network planning and ticketing/information projects.
• Direct liaison with clients to confirm requirements and ensure needs are met.
• Delivering technical solutions for existing clients, solo or as part of a team.
• Discussing future requirements with clients and securing new business for SYSTRA.
• Maintaining personal development to stay at the forefront of techniques and technologies.
• Supporting other sectors within SYSTRA Consultancy to deliver public transport elements in wider projects.
• Project management and proposal management responsibilities.
• Supporting business development initiatives and communicating client/project objectives.
• Model quality assurance for investment/transaction decisions.
• Preparing and delivering technical reports and presentations.
