Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor (MRICS) in Birmingham to join an established Building Consultancy team. You will handle contract and project work, including dilapidations, due diligence, and fire safety, for institutional clients and landlords.

The role offers hybrid working, opportunities to lead a small surveyor team, and a clear path for progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

You will be an MRICS chartered surveyor.
Commercial property experience in a similar consultancy is preferred.
Excellent and professional communication skills with clients is essential.
A proactive, practical, and positive approach to work is required.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple building surveying instructions for key clients.
Provide regular client updates and work within agreed timelines.
Understand client briefs and deliver on expectations.
Assist in dilapidations, pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence, development monitoring, defect diagnosis and fire safety reporting.
Be able to act as designer, contract administrator, project manager, or a hybrid.
Lead and develop less experienced team members and support career progression.
Develop a strategic view of the property asset lifecycle.
