Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to drive the Capital Maintenance Programme and oversee Revenue Maintenance budgets. The role requires strong survey and defect analysis skills, plus experience with CDM, planning, building regs, and AutoCAD/Revit.

The successful candidate will work with Architectural and Project Management teams on major projects and smaller schemes, offering technical leadership and robust contract oversight across internal and

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Surveying sector.
• Preparation of building and measured surveys incl. dilapidation reports & repair schedules.
• Identify and analyse building defects; inspections; prepare specifications for repairs; monitor works.
• Advise on Health & Safety aspects of buildings (asbestos, fire precautions, glazing).
• Contract management experience; familiarity with JCT and NEC.
• Experience with internal/external design teams and consultants.
• Experience with internal/external contractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of planning process and building regulations.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations; prepare PCIs; act as Principal Designer.
