Knight Frank in London is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor for our Commercial Building Consultancy. The role focuses on leading surveying instructions, project management, and due diligence across varied commercial projects.

You will manage multiple projects, deliver high-quality reports, and develop client relationships while mentoring junior staff. The position offers a flexible working environment and career growth within a prestigious practice.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification.
• Experience in commercial building surveying.
• Strong knowledge of landlord & tenant matters, dilapidations, technical due diligence and project work.
• Working knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Client-focused and commercially aware approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Desirable: AutoCAD, NBS Specification Writer, Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver professional building surveying instructions.
• Undertake project management and contract administration duties.
• Carry out technical due diligence and pre-acquisition surveys.
• Provide dilapidations, landlord and tenant, and party wall advice.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of condition and defect reports.
• Conduct building pathology assessments and reinstatement cost assessments.
• Ensure projects are delivered to a high professional standard and within agreed timescales.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities; collaborate across the wider business.
• Support achievement of fee income and business growth objectives.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors and graduates.
