As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the value of our housing stock. You’ll lead a small team of surveyors, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high standards across all surveying activities. From structural inspections to fire risk assessments and energy efficiency upgrades, your expertise will shape the future of our homes and communities.

  • Providing comprehensive advice and support on a range of property issues
  • Mentor, coach and develop the team
  • Conducting and overseeing a wide range of property surveys and inspections
  • Diagnosing defects and preparing detailed remedial specifications
  • Acting as project manager or contract administrator on major works
  • Supporting asset management with expert advice on property issues
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations including HHSRS, Decent Homes, CDM2015, and more
  • Collaborating with internal teams, residents, contractors, and local authorities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Professional qualification ideally (MRICS or MCIOB) and/or a degree or HND in Building Surveying
  • Proven experience in building surveys, repairs, and managing large-scale projects
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, CDM regulations, and building legislation
  • Leadership skills, good communication and time management
  • A methodical, problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

This role may suit a surveyor, who has mentored/managed a small team and would like to develop their management skills further. OR perhaps someone who has worked at a more senior level who wants to utilise their technical expertise and knowledge in more hands-on role?

Why Join Us?

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Up to 3 days paid giving back/volunteer days
  • Continuous professional development opportunities
  • A supportive and inclusive work environment
