The Responsibilities:

• Working across several projects in different sectors and providing a range of building surveying duties.
• Undertaking feasibility studies, producing specifications, obtaining estimates, statutory approvals, and administering contracts for refurbishment projects.
• The use and application of standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC.
• Knowledge of building surveying professional services.
• Mentoring and training junior Building Surveyors in the APC programme.
• Understanding the principles of quality, safety, and environmental management within projects.
• Supporting senior managers in their daily activities.
• Line management of junior Building Surveyors.
• Carrying out surveys, inspections, preparing schedules, providing professional services, and managing schemes in the South-West Region.

The Requirements:

• A B.Sc. (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS-accredited degree.
• Chartered status is essential or highly desirable.
• Significant building surveying experience and technical knowledge.
• Experience managing clients, expectations, and understanding of profitability and business development.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Managing workloads and projects.
• Drafting technical documents, including bids.
• Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• Excellent time management, punctuality, and commitment.
• Meticulous with an eye for detail.
