Job description

Senior & Principal level Building Surveyors are required in the London area for a leading global consultancy on a permanent basis.

Senior Role Accountabilities

The focus will be on TDD advice and reporting to identify key risks, their severity, quantification, and mitigation recommendations. The role involves primarily Technical Due Diligence, along with professional work across various building types, mainly commercial, with some heritage work.

This position carries significant responsibility and accountability, offering opportunities to develop managerial and technical skills and to progress within a growing specialist team.

You will manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions including Technical Due Diligence, condition surveys, dilapidations, and other projects.

Effective communication is essential to ensure all information is available for successful project implementation and completion.

You will liaise with Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure efficient financial control, resulting in cost-effective service delivery.

Regular updates on contract progress will be provided to the Sector Director.

Support will be provided in mentoring and supervising junior building surveyors.

Principal - Role Accountabilities

• Primarily commercial building surveying work and some Project Management across various building types, mainly commercial. Experience in professional work like dilapidations is desirable.
• High responsibility and accountability, with opportunities for managerial and technical development within a growing team.
• Manage risk in service delivery and contribute to improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate organic revenue growth and implement the business plan for commercial surveying services.
• Manage and undertake professional commissions including Technical Due Diligence, condition surveys, LTAs, PPM schedules, etc.
• Ensure effective communication for project success.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Team Leaders for financial control and cost-effective service.
• Represent the company professionally.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Sector Director.
• Support mentoring and supervision of junior surveyors.
