With expertise spanning project management, fund monitoring, building surveying, and corporate advisory services, the team operates across a wide array of sectors including residential, education, industrial, commercial, and leisure. This is a company that values creativity, straightforward solutions, and a strong sense of community. You’ll benefit from a welcoming and inclusive culture that promotes growth, wellbeing, and meaningful impact—both inside and outside the workplace.

Your New Role

As a Senior Building Surveyor based in London, you’ll take the lead role in delivering professional consultancy and surveying services for a broad range of commercial building projects. Your core responsibilities will include:

  1. Inspecting and advising on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of commercial properties
  2. Preparing reports, schedules of work, and technical specifications
  3. Designing and overseeing works using recognised building contracts and up-to-date standards
  4. Acting as lead consultant or project manager on complex projects, coordinating teams and delivering top-tier service
  5. Interpreting and applying legislation including health and safety, building regulations, Building Safety Act, and party wall matters
  6. Preparing and negotiating dilapidations schedules and liability assessments on behalf of homeowners and tenants
  7. Promoting consultancy services to secure new opportunities and strengthen client relationships
  8. Mentoring APC candidates and fostering a strong professional learning culture
  9. You’ll have the autonomy to manage high-impact projects while being part of a close-knit team that supports and challenges you to grow.

    What You'll Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you'll need:

    1. Ideally, MRICS accreditation — but this is not essential if you can demonstrate the required experience, capability, and knowledge across core areas of building surveying
    2. Strong experience with building consultancy practices, including defect diagnosis, reporting, and project delivery
    3. Solid understanding of construction legislation including CDM 2015, Building Regulations, and the Party Wall Act
    4. Ability to interpret technical publications and construction-related legal documents such as leases and development agreements
    5. Experience of leading, negotiating, and coordinating teams on high-value projects
    6. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
    7. Strong IT skills and analytical thinking with a problem-solving mindset
    8. A flexible, adaptable attitude to project types and a high level of professionalism
    9. What You'll Get in Return

You’ll be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your personal and professional life, including:

  • A wide range of learning and development opportunities through an intuitive platform
  • My Flex benefits include: Additional holiday purchase, Health care, Pension scheme, Employee assistance programme, Cycle to work and season ticket loans, Critical illness cover, and more
  • Access to retail benefits and online classes via Perks at Work and the community Online Academy
  • A culture that celebrates your contributions through annual awards and ongoing recognition
