The Role:

• The role will be responsible for providing timely support and information, including detailed budgeting and analysis of projects, to assist in the delivery of asset enhancements and lettings combining aspects of client design advocacy with the ability to enforce a highly structured design, approval and construction process.

The Team:

No direct reports but you will be required to manage external consultants on a job by job basis.

What you will be responsible for:

• Oversee scheme designs, costings, and project completion schedules.

• Manage tender documentation and contractor appointments, ensuring compliance with Landsec policies.

• Assist with planning applications, property legislation, and building regulations.

• Identify and address defects in existing buildings to maintain compliance.

• Prepare dilapidation reports, cost assessments, and ongoing asset strategies.

• Ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule.

• Maintain compliance with Construction Design & Management regulations.

• Oversee EPC requirements and policy changes affecting assets.

• Manage drawing documentation for leasing, legal processes, and tenant alterations.

• Conduct periodic service partner reviews to ensure best value.

• Oversee financial management of landlord/service charge costs.

• Collaborate on tenant design expectations and value enhancement opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with fit-out approvals, including safety and regulatory requirements.

Your skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential criteria

• A background in Building Surveying Consultancy, with experience working or office and retail sites.

• A good understanding of budgeting and financial management

• A history of successful involvement in maintenance, both planned and responsive

• Demonstrable understanding of all elements of Building Surveying and fabric management

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying

• MRICS – Currently working either at Senior Building Surveyor level, or as a Chartered Building Surveyor looking for the next step in their career progression.
