Job description

Flux Consulting have partnered with a well-established Consultancy who have a passion and strong expertise in working on educational projects. We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join the team and you ll be based in and around the area of Bushey, Hertfordshire.

As a key member of the estates team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the academy s buildings and infrastructure. You will oversee condition surveys, compliance, refurbishment projects, and long-term estate planning to ensure a safe and inspiring learning environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities Of This Role To Include:
  1. Conduct condition surveys and compliance assessments across the estate
  2. Lead and manage refurbishment, maintenance, and capital projects
  3. Provide professional advice on building fabric, statutory compliance, and sustainability
  4. Work closely with external contractors, consultants, and local authorities
  5. Develop and implement estate improvement strategies aligned with educational needs
  6. Ensure all work meets health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
The Ideal Applicant Will Possess:
  1. Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership (highly desirable)
  2. Proven experience in building surveying, ideally within the education sector
  3. Strong knowledge of building regulations, planning, and compliance
  4. Experience managing projects, budgets, and stakeholders
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
