Senior Building Surveyor

The Company

We have a new position for a Senior Building Surveyor working for a highly progressive Construction and Property Consultancy with offices across the South West. Their enthusiasm and drive have secured a project portfolio that is the envy of the competition. The business provides Project Management and PQS services on projects ranging from GBP1m to GBP140 million. They have recently gained notable clients through their Building Surveying team, which is a key area of growth. Their Truro office is expanding, and they are looking to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor to join their team.

The Opportunity

They seek an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Truro, working on traditional surveying services within Education, Local Authority, and Healthcare sectors.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing existing client relationships and assisting regional leadership in business growth and development
  • Supporting senior management to drive the division forward
  • Attending meetings with clients, authorities, and professionals
The Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have a traditional building surveying background and:
  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent, with membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS or CIOB (preferred)
  • Have good knowledge of all aspects of building surveying and design
  • Prove staff management skills
  • Demonstrate client management and negotiation skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Show ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve targets
