Job summary

Morgan Jones is recruiting a Building Surveying Manager to lead a team delivering major housing improvement and maintenance projects. You will oversee capital works, procurement, budgets and contractor performance from inception to completion, with weekly site attendance.

This senior role requires a Chartered building professional with extensive post-qualification experience, membership in a relevant body, and strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building regulations.

Qualifications

• Chartered Building Surveyor or equivalent professional qualification.
• Extensive post-qualification Building Surveying experience in housing/asset management.
• Proven experience leading surveying teams and large construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building regulations.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of surveyors and technical officers.
• Oversee responsive repairs, planned maintenance and capital improvement programmes.
• Deliver complex building/refurbishment projects on time and within budget.
• Manage contractor performance, quality standards and compliance.
• Lead procurement activities, tenders and contract administration.
• Prepare specifications, drawings and contract documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CDM and health and safety requirements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and provide reports to senior leadership.
