Job summary

MK Search are assisting a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor in London with a Senior Building Services Manager appointment for a large-scale mixed-use residential project in Southwark. You will lead MEP delivery, coordinate interfaces and drive design coordination from early design through completion.

The role requires a proven track record managing complex MEP packages on major construction schemes, strong leadership and stakeholder engagement across clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Building Services Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of building services and their integration into construction programmes.
• Ability to lead design coordination, procurement, installation and commissioning.

Senior Building Services Manager Opportunity - Tier 1 Main Contractor - Mixed Use Residential

MK Search are working withn a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor who are seeking a Senior Building Services Manager for a recently secured, large-scale mixed-use residential development in Southwark, with an MEP package valued at circa £40 million.

With the project in its early phases, this is an opportunity to influence the building services strategy, shape delivery and drive technical standards through to completion. The contractor has a strong reputation across the data centre, commercial, healthcare and residential sectors, offering exposure to complex projects and a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Role

As Senior Building Services Manager, you will lead the coordination and delivery of the mechanical, electrical and public health services, working closely with the project team, consultants and specialist subcontractors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading MEP delivery from early design coordination and procurement through installation, commissioning and handover.
• Reviewing designs for buildability, coordination and compliance with project requirements.
• Managing specialist subcontractors against programme, quality and safety targets.
• Coordinating building services interfaces with the wider construction team.
• Working with commercial and planning teams to manage package performance, risks and opportunities.
• Building effective relationships with the client, consultants and supply chain.
• Driving commissioning readiness and a coordinated handover process.

About you

You will bring:

• Experience as a Senior Building Services Manager, Senior MEP Manager or equivalent on major construction projects.
• A track record of managing complex MEP packages within a main contractor environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of building services and their integration into the construction programme.
• Experience overseeing design coordination, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• The confidence to lead specialist teams and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
• A relevant mechanical, electrical or building services qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments would be particularly valuable.
