Morgan Hunt is delighted to be partnering with a public sector organisation in Glasgow in their search for a Senior Building Services Manager reporting into the Head of FM.

Role summary:

The Senior Building Services Manager will operate within the Facilities Team, aligning with the company's strategic objectives. The role involves overseeing workplans and managing the team of Building Services Managers and Facilities Manager, ensuring all activities meet strategic and operational priorities.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the team workplans and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Deputising for the Head of Facilities and collaborating with internal departments and external agencies.
• Designing and implementing proactive maintenance plans to minimize disruption during events.
• Managing reactive maintenance programs with clear timelines.
• Leading and supporting the Facilities Team, contractors, and suppliers across various maintenance activities.
• Conducting inspections and managing repairs and servicing of campus plant and equipment.
• Ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining the Compliance Register.
• Scheduling and supporting servicing for upcoming events.
• Delivering site inductions and issuing permits for key tasks.
• Maintaining an accurate asset register and managing lifecycle planning.
• Managing asbestos-related policies and ensuring safe handling of ACMs.
• Ensuring compliance with legislation and standards, and managing risks.
• Collaborating with the Environment and Waste Team to improve environmental performance.
• Maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Integrating technology and digital systems for efficient facilities management.
