Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior FM Engineer to maintain, improve and future-proof its operational property estate. You will act as the technical lead for building engineering and fabric matters, overseeing planned, reactive and capital maintenance across a diverse portfolio of corporate buildings.

You will manage maintenance projects, advise on M&E and fabric issues, lead contractor relationships and help drive sustainability and decarbonisation across the estate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing building fabric, M&E assets within a complex portfolio.
• Strong understanding of PPM, lifecycle replacement and asset management principles.
• Experience procuring, managing and monitoring contractors to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, procurement and delivery of PPM, lifecycle replacement and reactive maintenance across a diverse estate.
• Provide expert advice on mechanical, electrical and fabric matters to colleagues and senior leaders.
• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, budget and quality standards.
