Job Description:

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Senior Building Services (Electrical) Engineer who is keen to further develop their career and assist with the management and development of our growing electrical engineering design team in London.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing and preparing designs for the full range of building services.
• Overseeing and site-supervising building services installations undertaken by others.
• Contributing to the development of health and safety plans and files.
• Executing troubleshooting exercises related to energy consumption and internal conditions, including surveys, reports, schedules, dilapidations, and feasibility reports.
• Preparing and planning maintenance specifications, procedures, and contract management.
• Overseeing energy strategies and Part L compliance.
• Managing the building services team's delivery of appointments.
• Maintaining client relationships and securing repeat business.
• Developing business to meet the needs of the engineering team.
• Managing financial aspects of team appointments, including invoicing and debt management.
• Preparing fee proposals and negotiating appointments.
• Managing HR issues and conducting performance reviews.
• Developing team members and succession planning.

You should be responsible for approximately £1m of turnover or provide specialist technical expertise.

Skills & Requirements

• Team player with the ability to work under pressure and manage independently.
• Experience in managing and supervising staff, with a focus on training and development.
• Ensuring client satisfaction and meeting project objectives and deadlines.
• Active involvement in business development and company promotion.

Pay: Up to £65K

Hours: 37.5

Location: City of London

London Working Practice: Hybrid working week
