Job summary

Acorn Engineering Limited in London and the South East is seeking a Mobile Building Services Engineer to carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on commercial sites, keeping critical systems running.

You will service HVAC, boilers, controls and ventilation, work on a call-out rota, and contribute to safe, compliant operations while delivering first-class service to clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial building services equipment
• Strong knowledge of HVAC including boilers, air conditioning, controls and ventilation
• Understanding of Health & Safety and Legionella compliance
• City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of commercial sites
• Maintaining HVAC systems, heating and cooling equipment, ventilation systems and associated plant
• Working closely with clients, subcontractors and internal support teams
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
• Attending emergency call-outs as part of a rota
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with industry standards
• Building strong relationships with customers and delivering excellent service at every visit

We're now looking for an experienced Mobile Building Services Engineer to join our growing team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of commercial sites
• Maintaining HVAC systems, heating and cooling equipment, ventilation systems and associated plant
• Working closely with clients, subcontractors and internal support teams
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical or Building Services Engineering background
• Experience working on commercial building services equipment
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including boilers, air conditioning, controls and ventilation
• Understanding of Health & Safety and Legionella compliance
• City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
