Rate: £65 - £75/hr (Outside IR35), long-term contract

Confido Consult is exclusively partnering with a leading consultancy in the building regulations space, renowned for its expertise in building safety. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a Competent Building Control Surveyor / Registered Building Inspector (capable up to L2F RBI) who is eager to develop their career and take on increased responsibilities as they progress towards becoming a Class 3 Competent Surveyor.

About the Role:

As a Senior Building Control Consultant, you will initially lead on all non-HRB (High-Risk Buildings) projects, ensuring safety and compliance across a variety of interested developments (no Domestic). Over time, and at your own pace, you will be exposed to HRB projects with full support from a highly competent and experienced team. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their expertise and take on more complex projects, working alongside a team that prides itself on collaboration and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Take the lead on non-HRB projects initially, ensuring compliance with building regulations and delivering safety consultancy services on complex commercial and residential developments.
2. Provide technical expertise and guidance on project reviews, reports, and compliance assessments.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and risk management, while continuously developing your technical skillset.
4. Over time, gain exposure to HRB projects, with full support to develop and advance your career to Class 3 Competent Surveyor status.
5. Foster a collaborative and dynamic team environment, offering mentorship and sharing knowledge as you grow.

The Ideal Candidate:

1. L2F Registered Building Inspector or equivalent (RBI status is desirable but not essential).
2. Proven experience as a Building Control Surveyor, with a focus on non-HRB projects.
3. Strong knowledge of building control, regulations, and compliance in the context of high-value, complex projects.
4. Eager to progress towards Class 3 Competent Surveyor status with the support of an experienced team.
5. A collaborative and proactive approach, with a passion for building safety and the development of your technical expertise.
