Job Title: Senior Building Safety Consultant (L2F RBI capable)

Location: Remote

Rate: £65 - £75/hr (Outside IR35), long-term contract

Confido Consult is partnering with a leading consultancy in the building regulations space, renowned for its expertise in building safety. This opportunity is ideal for a Competent Building Control Surveyor / Registered Building Inspector (capable up to L2F RBI) seeking career development and increased responsibilities towards becoming a Class 3 Competent Surveyor.

About the Role:

As a Senior Building Control Consultant, you will initially lead non-HRB (High-Risk Buildings) projects, ensuring safety and compliance across various developments (excluding domestic). Over time, with support from a skilled team, you will gain exposure to HRB projects.

This role is perfect for someone eager to develop expertise in complex projects, working within a collaborative and excellence-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead on non-HRB projects, ensuring compliance with building regulations and delivering safety consultancy on complex commercial and residential developments.
2. Provide technical expertise and guidance on project reviews, reports, and compliance assessments.
3. Collaborate with internal teams for seamless project delivery and risk management, while developing your technical skills.
4. Over time, gain exposure to HRB projects with full support to progress towards Class 3 Competent Surveyor status.
5. Foster a collaborative team environment, offering mentorship and sharing knowledge as you grow.

The Ideal Candidate:

• L2F Registered Building Inspector or equivalent (RBI status is desirable but not essential).
• Proven experience as a Building Control Surveyor, focusing on non-HRB projects.
• Strong knowledge of building control, regulations, and compliance in high-value, complex projects.
• Aspiring to achieve Class 3 Competent Surveyor status, supported by the team.
• Proactive, collaborative, with a passion for building safety and technical development.
